PYLOTGAMES

Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can to run the games. This page says what that is, why, and what you can do about it.

Last updated 20 October 2026.

Who we are

PylotGames is run by Mijutech, a business based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this policy "we" means Mijutech. We try to handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Questions or requests about your data: support@pylotgames.com.

What we collect

If you only play the computer as a guest, we do not need an account. Your offline games and their history stay on your own device.

If you make an account, we keep:

  • the username you choose (this is the only name other players see);
  • your password, stored only as a one-way scrambled hash, so we cannot read it;
  • if you use "Continue with Google": your Google account ID and the email address on that account. We use them only to recognise you when you sign in. We never show your email or Google name to other players;
  • when the account was created.

When you play online, we keep your results, your rating, your place on the leaderboard and your game history, so the games, rankings and History screen work.

Table chat. Messages at an online table are held in the memory of our game server for as long as the table is open and are deleted when the table closes. They are not saved in our database. If a player reports a message, a copy of the last few messages at that table is kept for our moderators to review, until the report is dealt with or the server restarts.

Technical data. Our web server records your IP address, the time, the page asked for and your browser type. We use this to keep the service running and to stop abuse, such as spam or break-in attempts. It is kept for a limited time and then removed.

Visit statistics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to count visits so we can see which games and screens people use. It records which screen or public page was opened (for example the Whot lobby), roughly where you are (country and city), your device and browser type, and how you arrived. It sets Google Analytics cookies to tell visits apart.

  • It never receives your username, email, table codes, chat messages or game moves.
  • We turn off Google's advertising features and ad personalisation. We do not use your data for adverts.
  • If your browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", the analytics code does not run at all. You can also block it with a tracker blocker or by refusing cookies.

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Advert measurement (Meta Pixel)

We advertise PylotGames on Facebook and Instagram. To see whether those adverts bring people to play, and to show them to people more likely to enjoy the games, the site uses the Meta Pixel, a small tool from Meta Platforms. It tells Meta that a visit to PylotGames happened and which of these steps came next: opening a game's screen, pressing Play now, signing up, or starting a game (with the game's name). Meta may set a cookie in your browser and match the visit to a Facebook or Instagram account if you are signed in there.

Outside Nigeria, the Pixel only runs if you say yes. The site asks once, with a small card offering "Allow" and "No thanks", and remembers your answer on this device. Until you choose Allow, Meta's code is not even loaded. On a device set to Nigerian time the card is not shown and measurement is on, and you can switch it off below at any time.

  • It never receives your username, email, phone number, table codes, chat messages, scores or game moves, and we do not switch on its automatic button or form tracking.
  • If your browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", the Pixel does not run at all. You can also block it with a tracker blocker or by refusing cookies, and you can manage adverts in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.

Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Our own visit counts

To see whether people come back, our own server keeps simple anonymous counts. Your browser makes a random code for itself (it is not linked to your name, email or account) and tells us which step you reached: opened the site, pressed Play now, started or finished a game against the computer and how it ended, created an account, or signed in.

  • We do not store your IP address with these counts, and they hold no name, email, scores, chat or game moves.
  • The same Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings switch them off.
  • Clearing your browser's site data gives you a new random code.

On your device

The site stores a few things in your browser: your sign-in session, your settings, the history of games you played against the computer, the random code for our anonymous visit counts, and a saved copy of the site's files so it can open with no signal. None of this is sent to advertisers. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Why we use your data

  • to run the games, your account and your online matches;
  • to work out ratings, rankings and your history;
  • to keep the service safe, for example to limit spam, handle reports and suspend people who break the rules;
  • to understand how many people use the site and improve it.

We do not sell your data and we do not show you targeted adverts.

Who else handles your data

We use service providers to run PylotGames: Google (Firebase) for sign-in and for storing accounts, and our hosting provider for the server. They handle data only to provide those services to us. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account details, ratings and history stay for as long as your account exists. Chat is deleted when the table closes. Reports are removed once reviewed. Server logs are removed after a limited time. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and the data tied to it, apart from anything we must keep by law or to stop abuse.

Your choices

  • Ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account, by emailing the address above.
  • Say yes or no to advert measurement, and change your answer any time, in the "Advert measurement" part of this page.
  • Switch on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser to stop analytics and advert measurement.
  • Clear your browser's site data to remove what is stored on your device.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Children

PylotGames is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has made an account, tell us and we will remove it.

Security

We protect the service with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and limits on sign-in attempts. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not use anywhere else.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and its "last updated" date. This policy was last updated on 20 October 2026.
